The FDA said it's planning to authorize emergency use of the drug remdesivir for COVID-19 treatment. According to Dr. Fauci, the drug has shown promising results in blocking the virus' ability to use enzymes to gain a foothold in a host's body. New Zealand's Prime Minister declared victory in the country's fight to contain the virus. The country has been reporting single digit numbers of new cases with no known community transmissions for a few days. Citizens in New Zealand are still being urged to remain cautious.
